Last week all the books were shipped to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to Red Shirt Elementary. They have hence been received and have been shared with the students and teachers within the virtual high school. Give K’U would like to give a sincere “thank you” to the students and teachers in Weston, MA!

Lectures, dancing, singing, drumming, a large round dance was enjoyed by all.

Co-Founder, Cherese H. Grant-Giordano and her children (Emma & Theodore) gave a presentation about the importance of American Indian history. In the picture attached Cherese is explaining the role of the Give K’U Foundation to school children at the Franklin Elementary School. The students said they learned a lot and their enthusiasm showed when each student wrote a thoughtful thank you note outlining their favorite lesson/new fact.

 The Donations Were Extremely Generous –So Many Top Brands & Many Brand New!

Thanks to families in Summit, NJ and very kind hearted friends of Maplecrest Ford in Mendham, NJ, Give K’U was able to send out over 12 large boxes of coats, hats, boots and books to the 2 reservation schools. The boxes arrived in South Dakota on a day where the weather was -10 degrees!!! “Just at the right time. Thank you so much!” said Principal Barbara Ice

In the fall of 2008, 5 high school students are taking classes virtually! Last week Give K’U was able to send laptops for the students to share as many do not have internet in their home. More laptops are needed.
