A Jack and Jill of America partnered with Give K’U to put on a book drive in Westchester. Founder, Desert Horse-Grant, spoke with both the mothers and the daughters about life on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The day was lovely and everyone participated in a traditional Round Dance, talked about what they knew of Native American culture, and the children were hands on during a show and tell of beautiful American Indian artifacts. Red Shirt Elementary School in Red Shirt, South Dakota, will use the books in their growing library. Thanks girls!!
